An update on the progression of our season

Posted February 1st, 2014  /  In Season updates

Before I get into our season, I would like to say we have a clutch cooking in the incubator over at Brock’s house. It’s the last clutch for 2013, and it is Banana het Pied to a het Pied. I am super stoked about it, I hope we can hit the Banana Pied. If we are luck enough to hit, we will be selling it. It’s going to be really hard to sell because they’re so cool, but we have a Pastel Banana het Pied male that is getting size. Our goal is get him breeding by the end of the season, and take the project one step further!

Our season is off to a great start; I couldn’t ask for a better way to start it being that our Pastel Clown is fully ovulated (blog pic). The father is a Banana het Clown, and he has been breeding up a storm over here. We have another Pastel Clown girl over here, and she has locked up with the Banana, to be honest I didn’t think she was going to go. That was until we ultra sounded last week, and she was at 21 mm, I was completely shocked and I couldn’t believe it.

Like I said, we ultra sounded last week and the numbers are looking really good. I do not want to count my chickens before they hatch, but this year is looking way better than last year. I am truly grateful for what I have, and I hope everyone is having a great year as well.

I am sure you have heard of our Rainbow GHI, if you haven’t their is a picture of it on our gallery. For those of you that do not know what it is , I will give a fast version of the story. We bread our GHI male to a normal female, and got this really colorful looking snake. There is no other snake on the market and in this hobby that has these colors. Well any way, we repeated the breeding and the mom is at 30mm. That might be our biggest clutch of the season if the Sunset does not go. I have a feeling that he is going to kick in here pretty soon. Our goal is to make a male Rainbow GHI, and figure out what it is. If it is genetic, I know it will be a game changer for sure. It’s just a matter of time before we find out!!

I have been putting breeding pictures on my Facebook page, so be sure to check that out. Facebook is the best way to see what we have going on over here.

Thanks for reading this, and stay tuned!
